Ta’Illistim, the Nations
Dear Mother and Father,
I am leaving this letter with Master Rouschall so you will have it waiting for you when you arrive.
I am fairly bursting with the news from the contest associated with the Celebration of Oleani in Icemule Trace. My friend, Miss Katie, won first place for her wonderful interpretive reading of a charming legend/poem. My new mentor, Mister Taluric, won third place with a contemplative and philosophical recitation about the true nature of love.
I came home with the second place medal for the song I sang. I was so surprised. It was a poetry contest. I thought I was pushing the bounds of their definition of poetry by singing!
I cannot wait to sing it for you. And all the others!
I am in Ta’Illistim. It is not a far journey to Ta’Vaalor at all. When you arrive, please send word. I will run to see you!
I know your trip is taking longer than planned. I heard about some of the bad weather south of here, and I hope it will not delay you over the high passes much longer.
I get more excited about seeing you both as the days go by; there is so much to tell you, and I want to tell you in person!
You will find everything you need in Ta’Vaalor, it may be a small citadel, but it has everything you could possibly need.
Master Rouschall and his Lady can help you settle in.
All my love,
Luxie
