Dear Mother and Father,
I am safe and sound behind the walls of Ta’Vaalor. Thank you for providing a safe escort and for your support in my continued music training. I love you both dearly for that.
At first I was lonesome but do not fear, I have made friends.
The Innkeeper, Rouschall, who seems a somewhat influential man, is allowing me to play for my room and board at The Legendary Rest. A very nice Lady at the Inn has also helped me. She reminds me of you, Mother. She is gentle, beautiful, and caring. I feel lucky to have found The Rest.
A Great Lady, Iniania, befriended me and has acted as my Patroness. She found an amazing new sword for me and gave me a beautiful new mandolin. Although she does not know it, I am going to weave a song for her.
I met a charming young man, too.
A very beautiful little green pixie greeted me as I walked in through the city’s gates, and acted as my guide. I was so grateful for all her help. She is staying with me. I … might be pretending I am protecting her from the outsides. I suspect that it is more like she is the one protecting me. But it feels great to have Merinda share my room.
I do not have any idea what Pixies eat, though. Hopefully when she awakens, we will work that out. It is late now, and I should rest. Perhaps a song will weave in my dreams for my Patroness.
